FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions ~ Carpet and Furniture Cleaning
Q. May I have a Price Quote?
A. Absolutely. We offer free carpet and tile cleaning assessments.
Q. Why should I have my carpets cleaned?
A. Not only does it make your home look nicer to have clean carpet, but it is essential to a healthy home. You see, your carpet works as a filter sucking in all the pollutants, pollen, bacteria, germs, dander and dustmites, to name only a few. The key is to have your carpets cleaned before they begin showing dirt. The longer you wait to clean your carpet, the more soil becomes permanent. It locks onto the fibers thru a process called ‘oxidation’, and the soil bonds with the carpet permanently attaching to it. If you wait too long you’re throwing away the key to unlocking dirt in traffic lanes.
Q. How often should I have my carpet cleaned?
A. Before they begin to show visible dirt. At a minimum, we recommend every six months. Why? Well looks aren’t everything! Modern carpeting is a technological marvel. It was designed to hide dirt and boy does it do a good job. You can literally pour a pound of potting soil in one square foot of a quality nylon carpet, rub it in, and it will disappear! That means all of the junk (dander, fumes, pollens, germs, bacteria, fleas, etc) that comes into your home is safely hidden in your carpet.
Q. How often should I have my furniture cleaned?
A. Once again, before it begins to show the dirt. We recommend a minimum of once a year.
Q. Which method of carpet cleaning is best?
A. Steam cleaning is the best carpet cleaning method, due providing the best capability for deep cleaning, as recommended by the world’s largest carpet manufacturer, Shaw Industries. It does not harm carpet fibers, does not encourage re-soiling and actually improves indoor air quality. Our truck-mounts heat the water to 220 degrees farenheit, which is very important considering that super heating water is the only proven method to kill all the contaminants.
Q. Do you use truck mounted equipment?
A. Yes. 51-horse powered cleaning equipment that removes 98% of all moisture put down.
Q. Should I vacuum before the carpet cleaner arrives?
A. You can never vacuum too much, but depending on the package you choose, vacuuming may be included.
Q. Do you move furniture?
A. We can do just traffic lanes or move your furniture; however there are limitations. We can move couches, tables chairs; however, larger items such as entertainment centers, dressers, beds, bookcases, etc, we are not able to move, due to liability issues. Also all furniture we move must be cleared off prior to our arrival.
Q. Should I move anything?
A. Although we do our absolute best to respect your home (using corner guards, shoe covers, entry rug, etc) accidents happen. We ask that you move all breakables while we clean.

Q. Does cleaning your carpet make it wear out faster?
A. No, makes it last longer. Dirt, sand and grit make your carpet wear out faster. What would happen if you rubbed sand paper all over your new paint job? What a disaster! Well, each day we pull pounds of gritty soil out of our clients carpets. It’s in yours too! This soil goes to work on your fibers like a bunch of tiny saws. In Fact, This Is the #! Cause of Your Carpet’s Ugly, Faded and Worn Appearance.
Q. Should I have a fabric protector applied after cleaning?
Q. Which is better for indoor air quality: hardwood, or carpet?
A. Wood flooring is beautiful, but doesn’t act as a filter like your carpet does. If you have your carpets cleaned regularly, it will actually help your air to be cleaner. But just like a garbage, it needs to be emptied. If you can see soil, it means it’s overflowing.
Q. What kind of stains can you remove?

We are able pull most dye type stains (such as Kool-aid) with heat transfers and can also spot dye bleach stains.
